History of the Summit
The World Stone Forum was held simultaneously with the Marble İzmir Fair for the first time in 2018 with the participation of 7 countries.
10 countries participated in the 2nd World Stone Forum in 2019, where the topic of "Threats Against the Natural Stone Industry and Precautions to be Taken" was discussed. The Forum was an intercontinental call in which the efforts made to popularize the use of natural stone with the broad participation of state-level associations were conveyed. The Forum, in which country representatives emphasized that they need Turkey's support in the spread of the natural stone industry, has turned into an international platform where important decisions are taken for the future of the industry.
After its success in 2019 and the great interest of the world's giants, a decision was made to transform the forum into the "World Stone Summit" at the 26th Marble İzmir Fair.
WSS Is Growing
The World Stone Summit (WSS) will become an organization that develops within Marble İzmir and aims to add global brand value to natural stone. The WSS, which will carry out an intercontinental partnership with the world stone unions, will conduct an interdisciplinary study by basing the value created on both a commercial and scientific basis. With its periodicals and accessibility 365 days a year, WSS will offer practical solutions to the use of natural stone. WSS will offer solutions to all components of the industry, from natural stone producers to end users.
